Junior Amy Han of the Boston University women’s golf team finished the opening day of the GSU Invitational on Mar. 30 in third place, following rounds of 70 and 69 at Rivermont Golf Club in Johns Creek, Georgia. Han’s second-round score of 69 matched her best collegiate round, leaving her just one shot behind the leader at five under par. She made three birdies in each round and recorded only one bogey throughout the day.
The performance places Han among the top competitors out of an 88-golfer field as she heads into Tuesday’s final round with a strong chance to contend for the title.
The Boston University team rebounded from a challenging start, posting a score of 319 in round one before improving to a 296 in round two. The Terriers ended Monday in twelfth place overall with a combined score of plus-39.
