Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who represents Massachusetts’ 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed a range of issues on her official Twitter account, including abortion rights, immigration enforcement actions, and the anniversary of the October 7th attack in Israel.
On October 6, 2025, Pressley expressed her support for the Food and Drug Administration’s stance on abortion medication. She wrote, “Abortion care is safe and essential. The FDA got this right, abortion medication should be available to everyone who needs it. In this dire landscape of restrictions & bans, we won’t let up until everyone can get the care they seek.”
Later that day, she criticized actions by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement during the Trump administration. In a tweet posted on October 6, 2025, Pressley stated: “Under the cover of night, Trump’s ICE agents unlawfully stormed & terrorized an apartment complex at South Shore in Chicago. Young children zip tied, homes ransacked, entire families & US citizens forced into U-Hauls. And now, Trump is threatening to send National Guard troops”
On October 7, 2025, marking two years since the October 7th attack by Hamas in Israel, Pressley posted: “My statement on the two-year anniversary of the horrific October 7th attack carried out by Hamas in Israel:”
Pressley has served in Congress since 2019 after replacing Mike Capuano and previously worked in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Cincinnati in 1974 and currently residing in Boston at age 49, she has consistently used her platform to comment on national policy issues.
