On March 26, 2025, Congresswoman Pressley described a troubling scenario involving the alleged rights violations against an individual named Rumeysa. As she wrote, “This is a horrifying violation of Rumeysa’s constitutional rights to due process and free speech. She must be immediately released. And we won’t stand by while the Trump Administration continues to abduct students with legal status and attack our fundamental freedoms.”
Later the same day, Pressley criticized the conduct of journalists and political figures in matters of national security. The disregard for human life and national security is beyond the pale. Everyone involved should be investigated by Congress and Pete Hegseth must resign immediately.”

Broken website. Closed field offices. Social Security is a promise that allows folks to retire with dignity. But Trump and Musk are breaking it so they can give their billionaire friends tax breaks.”
