Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who represents Massachusetts’ 7th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on March 26, 2026, addressing issues ranging from immigration enforcement to reparations for Black Americans.
In one post dated March 26, 2026, Pressley wrote about a meeting with a constituent: “Michelle is a constituent from Chelsea whose family was terrorized by ICE. I met with her this week when she came to testify about their harrowing experience. Her story is another shameful reminder of why we must abolish ICE and hold the Trump Admin accountable for its cruelty.”
Later that day, Pressley commented on an international development involving reparations: “This UN resolution is an essential step in our fight for reparations & addressing the systemic oppression of Black people. Shame on the US Ambassador for voting against it. Justice delayed is justice denied, and we will not back down in our pursuit of reparatory justice.” She also shared an additional link in a separate post: “https://t.co/sjEsbEvZbT”.
Ayanna Pressley has served as the U.S. Representative for Massachusetts’s 7th District since 2019 after succeeding Mike Capuano. Prior to her tenure in Congress, she was a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1974, Pressley currently resides in Boston.
