Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who represents Massachusetts’ 7th district in the U.S. Congress, has recently posted a series of statements on her official Twitter account addressing several national political issues.

On April 2, 2026, Pressley wrote: “Don’t get it twisted. Pam Bondi must still come before the Oversight Committee as mandated by our subpoena. She must answer for her coverup of the Epstein files and weaponization of the DOJ. We owe it to survivors and to the public to hold her accountable.”

Later that day, she commented on actions by former President Trump and members of his party: “Trump and the Republican Party are trying to steal the election. From weakening the Voting Rights Act, to their voter suppression bill, & now this unlawful executive order—it’s all meant to intimidate & disenfranchise. We won’t let them get away with it.” This tweet was posted on April 2, 2026.

The following day, Pressley criticized Trump’s proposed federal spending priorities: “It’s official: Trump wants to spend hundreds of billions more on endless wars. And he wants to pay for it by slashing education, healthcare, and housing. This is what America LAST looks like.” The post was made on April 3, 2026.

Ayanna Pressley has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Mike Capuano and previously held office in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Cincinnati in 1974, she currently resides in Boston.
