Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who represents Massachusetts’ 7th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of statements on social media addressing economic and foreign policy issues.
On April 5, 2026, Pressley highlighted her advocacy for improved payment systems, writing: “Bills don’t stop. People work hard for their paycheck. And they deserve to be able to access it quickly. That’s why I fought hard to help create FedNow, a real-time payments system at the Fed that helps people get their money faster and keep up with their bills.”
Later the same day, she criticized former President Donald Trump’s approach to economic challenges and foreign policy: “Trump is attacking everyone and everything except the affordability crisis. And now, with his unlawful Iran war & reckless tariff policies, folks in Massachusetts and across the country are paying the price. The people deserve better.”
On April 6, 2026, Pressley reiterated her opposition to recent U.S. military actions in Iran by stating: “Trump’s reckless, unauthorized war in Iran is another betrayal of the American people.”
Ayanna Pressley has represented Massachusetts’s 7th District in Congress since 2019 after previously serving in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1974 and currently resides in Boston.
