Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who represents Massachusetts’ 7th district in the U.S. Congress, addressed several national issues in a series of posts on September 4, 2025.

In her first post of the day, Pressley expressed support for survivors connected to Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse and called for further action from lawmakers. On September 4, she wrote: “Survivors everywhere deserve accountability — from those who shared their truths of Epstein’s abuse, to those who joined in solidarity today. I see you & I’m proud to stand with you. Together, we’ll keep pushing for a Congressional hearing & the release of the full Epstein”.

Later that afternoon, Pressley criticized Health and Human Services Secretary Kennedy over recent changes to vaccine policy. In her post at 15:12 UTC on September 4, she stated: “.@SecKennedy’s dangerous vaccine rollbacks and dismantling of our public health systems is putting lives at risk. He has no business serving as HHS Secretary and must resign or be fired immediately.”

That same day, Pressley also commented on vaccine policies advocated by former President Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., while commending Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey’s approach to public health measures. At 17:05 UTC on September 4 she posted: “With Trump and RFK Jr. pushing a reckless, anti-science vaccine agenda, I’m grateful for @MassGovernor’s proactive leadership in keeping our communities safe. This essential action will save lives.”

Ayanna Pressley has represented Massachusetts’s 7th District since her election to Congress in 2019 after defeating Mike Capuano. Before joining Congress, she served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives and has lived in Boston since moving from her birthplace of Cincinnati, Ohio.
