Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who represents Massachusetts’ 7th district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of statements on her official Twitter account addressing issues ranging from alleged corruption to advocacy for Haitian TPS holders and the establishment of a Women’s History Museum.
On May 23, 2026, Pressley wrote, “This is corruption, plain and simple. And the people see right through it.” The same day, she commented on efforts to create a national museum honoring women’s history: “Control of the Women’s History Museum belongs to the women who built this country — NOT Donald Trump and his political allies. We’ll keep fighting to honor women’s history and pass legislation to establish this museum without any harmful Republican amendments.”
On May 24, 2026, Pressley addressed the role of Haitian Temporary Protected Status (TPS) holders in American society: “Our Haitian TPS holders play an essential role to our care economy and communities writ-large. Our report makes that plain and it’s a reminder of why we must extend TPS for Haiti, protect our seniors, & do right by this essential workforce.”
Ayanna Pressley has served in Congress since 2019 after succeeding Mike Capuano. Before her tenure in Washington D.C., she was a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Cincinnati in 1974, Pressley now resides in Boston.
