Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who represents Massachusetts’ 7th district in the U.S. Congress, has been vocal on various political issues through her social media presence. On February 8 and 9, 2025, she addressed several concerns via Twitter regarding diversity, consumer protection, and government integrity.

On February 8, 2025, Pressley criticized former President Donald Trump’s policies on diversity and inclusion. She stated that “Trump’s onslaught against diversity, equity, and inclusion has never been about efficiency or ‘meritocracy.’ It’s about re-segregating America and attacking our civil rights.”

Later the same day, Pressley commented on changes at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). She expressed concern over actions taken by a Trump appointee to halt the bureau’s efforts. In her tweet, she noted that “The @CFPB has returned billions of dollars to consumers by cracking down on predatory lending, junk fees, medical debt, & more. Now, Trump’s appointee is halting the bureau’s work. He’s never given a damn about protecting consumers, & this is just the latest reminder of that.”

On February 9, 2025, Pressley addressed legal issues involving Elon Musk. She claimed that “Elon Musk has repeatedly broken the law to gain control of our government. This is an important win in the fight to save our democracy.”
