Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who represents Massachusetts’ 7th district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on March 28 and 29, 2026, addressing women’s issues and celebrating efforts to empower young women and girls.
On March 28, Pressley wrote: “With an Administration attacking women every day, the state of women in America can feel grim. But the women who came before us wrote the blueprint for our survival—from trailblazing activists to the women who surround us. The following day, on March 29, Pressley expressed appreciation for community initiatives supporting young women: “When we affirm the brilliance, the beauty, and the voices of young girls, we are investing in a stronger and more just future for all of us. Ayanna Pressley has represented Massachusetts’s 7th District in Congress since replacing Mike Capuano in 2019. Before her tenure in Congress, she served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. Born in Cincinnati in 1974, Pressley currently resides in Boston.
