Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, who represents Massachusetts’ 7th district in the U.S. Congress, shared several messages on social media addressing significant issues and events. Pressley has been serving since 2019 after replacing Mike Capuano and previously served in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.

On January 19, 2025, Pressley expressed her gratitude for President Biden’s declaration regarding the Equal Rights Amendment (ERA). She stated, “Equal rights under the law shall not be denied on account of sex.” Pressley described this as a “historic step toward gender equality.”

Later that day, she invited the public to join a community event in Roxbury scheduled for January 20, 2025. In her tweet, she said, “Hey y’all! Join us tomorrow at 1:30pm in Roxbury as we prepare for the next four years by building community.” She encouraged participation from all ages and provided an RSVP link.

In another post on January 20, 2025, Pressley quoted Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., saying “the time is always right to do what is right.” She commended President Biden’s use of clemency authority as transformative and focused on redemption and addressing injustices.
