Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, representing Massachusetts’ 7th district since 2019, has recently shared her views on social media regarding significant legislative and political issues. Her tweets address various topics, including healthcare legislation and immigration policies.

On January 23, 2025, Pressley expressed strong opposition to a proposed bill in the House that she believes undermines women’s medical rights. She criticized the involvement of “ignorant, uninformed men” in decision-making processes concerning women’s healthcare. The bill in question reportedly aims to criminalize doctors and restrict mothers’ choices regarding pregnancies with fatal diagnoses. “Once again we have ignorant, uninformed men — who think they know better than doctors and mothers — taking to the House floor to deny us our medical care.”

The following day, January 24, 2025, Pressley addressed immigration concerns related to former President Donald Trump’s actions. She announced collaboration with fellow lawmakers Ilhan Omar and Mazie Hirono on a bill intended to repeal an outdated law that Trump allegedly plans to use for mass deportations. Emphasizing their commitment to protecting immigrant communities, Pressley stated: “Trump is wasting no time attacking our immigrant neighbors & we’re wasting no time fighting back.”

Later on January 24, 2025, Pressley commented on what she perceives as incitement of violence by Trump. She highlighted the potential risks posed to patients and healthcare providers due to his rhetoric: “This is dangerous.”
