Later that day, Pressley addressed Tennessee’s new law which she described as discriminatory towards trans and LGBTQ+ individuals. She called on the Supreme Court to uphold constitutional protections against discrimination and emphasized that healthcare decisions should be made solely by patients in consultation with their doctors and families. “TN’s discriminatory law is just the latest in Republicans’ cruel attacks on our trans & LGBTQ+ siblings.”
