The Boston College baseball program announced on May 11 that it has canceled its non-conference game against UMass Lowell, which was originally scheduled for Tuesday, May 12.
This move ensures the No. 23 Eagles remain within the NCAA-mandated limit for regular-season competitions. The team currently holds a record of 36-17 overall and is 17-10 in Atlantic Coast Conference play.
By removing the UMass Lowell contest from their schedule, Boston College will finish its regular season with exactly 56 games played. The Eagles will conclude their schedule after a three-game series against third-ranked Georgia Tech, set to begin Thursday, May 14 at Harrington Athletics Village with first pitch at 6:00 p.m.
Georgia Tech’s visit marks the first time since 2019 that a top-three ranked opponent will play at Harrington Athletics Village. In that year, then-top-ranked North Carolina State visited the facility.
The cancellation allows Boston College to comply with NCAA rules while preparing for an important matchup as they close out their regular season.
