Boston College baseball received the two-seed in the Athens Regional, hosted by Georgia, in the NCAA Tournament as announced Monday afternoon, May 25. The Eagles, holding a record of 36-21, return to the tournament field for the first time since 2023 and are making their 13th overall appearance.
The Athens Regional features number-3 overall seed Georgia and Boston College, along with three-seed Liberty and four-seed LIU. Boston College will play Liberty in its opening game on Friday at 2:00 p.m., with Georgia facing LIU later that day. The regionals are scheduled to take place from May 29 through June 1.
Boston College’s total of 36 wins this season marks the second most in program history and includes a program-best 17 victories in Atlantic Coast Conference play.
Historically, the Eagles have compiled a record of 25-25 all-time in NCAA Tournament games and have made four trips to the College World Series. Their most recent appearance at that stage was in 1967.
Day one matchups include Boston College versus Liberty on ESPN+ and Georgia against LIU on SECN.
