Boston College baseball will resume Atlantic Coast Conference play with a weekend series against No. 10 NC State, beginning March 13. The first game is scheduled for Friday at 3:00 p.m., followed by games at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, with all matchups streamed live on ACCNX.

The matchup is significant as NC State holds a historical advantage over Boston College, leading the series 37-18 and winning four of the last five meetings. However, Boston College claimed victory in their most recent contest in 2023, winning 8-7 in extra innings with strong performances from Nick Wang and Cameron Leary.

NC State enters the series ranked tenth nationally and boasts a record of 14-3, despite a recent loss to Elon. The Wolfpack features three hitters batting above .400, including Wyatt Peifer (.423 average) and Chris McHugh (.418 average), who has six home runs and twenty-two RBIs this season.

Pitching matchups for the weekend include A.J. Colarusso facing Ryan Marohn on Friday. Colarusso has started four games this season with an earned run average (ERA) of 4.32 and eighteen strikeouts, while Marohn is undefeated in three starts with a 1.32 ERA and twenty strikeouts. Saturday’s game will see Tyler Mudd take on Jacob Dudan; Mudd has an ERA of 4.24 over four starts, while Dudan is unbeaten with a stellar ERA of 1.11 and thirty-three strikeouts across four starts.

Boston College comes into the series after a high-scoring win over UConn, where Wang hit three home runs and drove in eight runs—a single-game feat not seen since Chris Shaw’s performance in 2015 for home runs or since Wang himself achieved eight RBIs against Villanova in 2023. The Eagles’ offense also saw contributions from Colin Larson, Ty Mainolfi, and several others during that game.

Following the NC State series, Boston College will return home to host Sacred Heart and UMass Lowell before continuing conference play against Cal.
