Boston College Baseball, ranked No. 22, will travel to Notre Dame for a three-game series against the Fighting Irish starting Friday, Apr. 23 at Frank Eck Baseball Stadium.

The matchup is significant as Boston College holds a historical record of 23-40 against Notre Dame and has won only six times on the road out of twenty-eight attempts. In their last meeting in April 2025 at Harrington Athletics Village, Boston College took two out of three games from Notre Dame and later defeated them in the first round of the 2025 Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament with a close 5-4 win in extra innings.

Notre Dame enters this weekend’s series with an even season record of 18-18 and a conference record of seven wins and fourteen losses. The Fighting Irish recently ended a three-game losing streak by defeating Michigan State in non-conference play with a score of 3-2. However, they have struggled within their conference games, recording just one win in their last twelve ACC matchups.

Key players for Notre Dame include Mark Quatrani, who leads the team with eleven home runs—ranking fifteenth in the ACC—and Bino Watters, who tops his team with a .362 batting average and fifty-four hits. Pitcher Jack Radel has started ten games this season, holding a four-win-three-loss record over fifty-seven innings pitched and maintaining an earned run average (ERA) of 3.61.

Boston College comes into the series after seeing its seven-game winning streak snapped by Maine on Tuesday in a game that ended with a score of six to four. Julio Solier had three hits from five at-bats along with one run batted in (RBI) and three stolen bases during that game. Nick Wang contributed two hits on two at-bats plus two walks; his sacrifice fly brought his season total to eight—a new single-season program record.

Looking ahead, Boston College will travel next to UMass Lowell for another non-conference game scheduled for Tuesday evening.
