Giulia Colarusso added five points with four goals and one assist, along with five draw controls. Hanna Davis recorded two goals and two assists for four points.

Defensively, Shea Baker caused two turnovers and picked up two ground balls. Abbey Herod led the team with seven draw controls, helping Boston College achieve a 16-9 advantage in that area. Goalkeeper Shea Dolce made ten saves, finishing with a .556 save percentage.

The first half was closely contested until Lily Kondas scored late in the second period to give Boston College a 6-4 lead at halftime. Colarusso opened scoring in the third period to extend the lead to three goals. Although California responded quickly, Boston College answered with a four-goal run that carried into the final quarter, providing them with a comfortable margin.

Late in the game, Brooke McLoy started a three-goal streak that pushed Boston College’s lead to eight before closing out their third win against Cal without defeat.

Head coach Acacia Walker-Weinstein said after the game: “We’re proud of how our team responded today after last week’s loss.”

Boston College will next face Harvard on Thursday at Alumni Stadium.

Shea Dolce is nearing second place all-time for career saves at Boston College; she currently has 563 saves and needs five more to surpass Katie Monaghan’s mark. Abbey Herod is close to moving into sixth place all-time in school history for career draw controls; she sits at 211 draws, just two behind Brittany Wilton’s record.
