Boston College Fencing is set to participate in the Eric Sollee Invitational at Brandeis University on Saturday, with competition starting at 10:00 am.
In last year’s Eric Sollee Invitational, both the men’s and women’s teams from Boston College finished with 4-1 records. Each team secured wins against NJIT, Stevens, Yeshiva, and Hunter after an initial loss to Duke. During that meet, Rachel Buhay, Junyao Lu, and Taylor Sartori each reached their 100th career victory as Eagles. Additionally, Taylor Cho recorded her 161st career win in Women’s Foil, making her the all-time leader in that category for Boston College.
The Women’s Epee squad went undefeated with a 5-0 record and posted two 9-0 victories over Yeshiva and Hunter. The Women’s Sabre and Foil teams each finished with four wins and one loss; Women’s Sabre also achieved two 9-0 victories while Women’s Foil defeated Yeshiva by the same margin, contributing to a 27-0 overall team win for the Eagles.
On the men’s side, Men’s Epee finished with a 4-1 record while Men’s Foil went 3-2. Men’s Sabre competed in four matches and won all of them. Both Men’s Epee and Foil registered 9-0 wins against Yeshiva and Hunter. The day concluded with an 18-0 victory over Hunter for Boston College after no match was held for Men’s Sabre.
Boston College most recently competed at the Carla Mae Richards Invitational on December 5, 2025. The men’s team went undefeated across six matches, including wins over No. 8 St. John’s and a first-ever victory against No. 7 Penn State. The women’s team finished with a 6-1 record, which included ranked wins over No. 10 Penn State, No. 11 Cornell, and No. 15 St. John’s.
