The Boston College football team continued its spring practice on March 30, beginning the fourth week of sessions at Fish Field House. The Eagles resumed work after a controlled scrimmage held over the weekend, focusing on both offensive and defensive drills.

Spring practices are important for evaluating player development and building team chemistry ahead of the upcoming season. They provide an opportunity for returning players and new additions to compete for roles on the roster.

During Monday’s session, freshman running back Sedric Addison made several significant runs early in practice. On defense, second-year defensive back Marcelous Townsend broke up a pass across the middle, while veteran linebacker Juan Zabal registered a tackle for loss. The quarterbacks worked to strengthen their connections with receivers; Mason McKenzie connected with Jackson Wade and Johnathan Montague Jr. for touchdowns, while Femi Babalola also found Montague Jr. in the end zone. Georgia State transfer Chandler Jordan prevented a touchdown by deflecting a pass in the end zone.

In later periods, Grayson Wilson threw a touchdown pass to Reed Swanson before the defense closed out practice strong with interceptions from Kameron Howard and Jordan Rodriguez.

“It’s great to show our strengths on defense. We’re still building chemistry one day at a time and getting better,” said Micah Amedee, sophomore defensive lineman from Brockton, Massachusetts.

The Eagles will return to practice Wednesday morning for their eleventh session of spring training. All practices remain closed to the public.
