Boston College softball player Kae DePerio has been recognized as the ACC Freshman of the Week, according to an announcement from the conference on Tuesday.
DePerio, who plays shortstop and leads off for Boston College, posted a .750 batting average (12 hits in 16 at-bats) during games at USF last weekend. She went 3-for-3 in each of three games, scored 10 runs, hit a triple, and drew five walks. Her on-base percentage was .810 and her slugging percentage reached .875.
On defense, DePerio maintained a perfect fielding record with 11 assists and six putouts.
This is the first time this season that DePerio or any Boston College player has received a conference award.
