Boston College Men’s Golf is set to participate in its final regular season tournament before the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, as the team travels to Carrollton, Texas for the Maridoe Invitational hosted by North Texas. The event will take place from March 28-30 at Maridoe Golf Club.
The tournament begins with two rounds on Monday morning, starting at 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time with a shotgun start. Boston College will face teams including Alabama, Arizona State, Baylor University, Louisiana, Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, North Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Sam Houston State, UNC Greensboro and UTRGV.
Maridoe Golf Club features an 18-hole championship course that plays as a par-72 and stretches over 7,800 yards from the back tees. The course is known for its length and challenging design across rolling Blackland prairie terrain and includes a significant water feature—a 25-acre lake—that influences play on several holes. Strategic shot placement and risk-reward decisions are emphasized throughout the layout.
Designed by architect Steve Smyers and reopened in 2017, Maridoe emphasizes firm playing conditions with tightly mown runoffs and large contoured greens that test players’ approach shots and short game skills. The variety of lengthy par fours, strategic par fives and well-defended par threes offers diverse challenges during each round.
The Boston College lineup for this event consists of Jack Pogorelc in the first position followed by Markus Lam, Tony Yin, Tommy Mangan and Connor Chisum.
