The Boston College men’s tennis team lost to Clemson University by a score of 4-0 on April 2 at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center.

This match is important for both teams as it impacts their standings in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Boston College now holds a record of four wins and thirteen losses overall, with no conference victories, while Clemson improves to twelve wins and eleven losses overall, including six conference wins.

During doubles play, all three courts saw close contests. The Boston College pair Matthew Carioscia and Luke Levanat were in a tight match at No. 3 doubles but did not finish their set as Clemson had already secured the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and No. 2 positions.

In singles matches, Boston College continued to compete strongly against Clemson’s lineup. At the top spot, Carioscia won five games in his first set against Viktor Markov before their match was left unfinished in the second set. Levanat also took his first set at No. 5 singles before that contest was halted as well. Ultimately, Clemson clinched three singles matches to win the dual meet.

The final scores showed completed singles victories for Clemson players Noa Vukadin over Mai Gao (6-1, 6-1), Marko Mesarovic over Matvey Greschner (6-1, 6-3), and Henrik Bladelius over Matthew Overvelde (6-2, 6-1). Several other matches remained unfinished when play concluded.

Looking ahead, Boston College will continue its road trip with a match against Georgia Tech scheduled for Saturday, April 4.
