The Boston College men’s tennis team lost 7-0 to No. 47 Georgia Tech on April 4 at the Ken Byers Tennis Complex in Atlanta.

This match was part of the Atlantic Coast Conference schedule, with Boston College now holding a record of four wins and fourteen losses overall, and no wins in conference play. The result underscores the team’s ongoing challenges this season.

Georgia Tech began by winning at No. 3 doubles, but Boston College’s Aidan Pack and Matthew Overvelde responded with a 6-3 victory at No. 2 doubles for their team’s only win of the day. Georgia Tech secured another win at No. 1 doubles to claim the opening point before moving into singles matches.

In singles competition, Georgia Tech swept all six matches. Victories included Hidde Schoenmakers over Matthew Carioscia (6-1, 6-4), Gianluca Carlini over Matvey Greschner (6-4, 6-2), Jonathan Irwanto over Mai Gao (7-5, 6-3), Elias Shokry over Matthew Overvelde (6-3, 6-1), Richard Biagiotti over Luke Levanat (6-3, 6-2), and Robert Bauer over Aidan Pack (6-4, 6-3).

Boston College will continue its road trip next Saturday when it faces Southern Methodist University on April 11.
