Boston College is set to continue its three-game home stand with a late-night matchup against Stanford on Wednesday, February 11. The game will tip off at 9:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPNU and WEEI 850 radio.

This meeting marks the third time Boston College and Stanford have played each other in men’s basketball. The all-time series is currently tied at one win apiece. Last season, the teams met in California for the first time in 46 years, where Boston College lost 60-78.

In their most recent game, Boston College was defeated at home by Miami with a score of 74-68. Donald Hand Jr. led the team with 20 points. Boden Kapke contributed his second double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Fred Payne added 11 points.

Through the first 23 games of the season, Boston College has established itself nationally in several statistical categories. The team ranks third in the ACC and 37th nationally for blocks per game (4.6). Jayden Hastings (41) and Aidan Shaw (30) are among the top ten shot blockers in the ACC. Defensively, Boston College holds opponents to a three-point shooting percentage of 29.8%, ranking them 23rd nationally, and allows an average of 68.6 points per game, which is ranked 55th nationwide. The Eagles also average nine turnovers per game, placing them fifth in the ACC.

Fred Payne has shown notable improvement this season, increasing his averages across points (+8.1), rebounds (+1.3), and assists (+1.7) compared to last year through the same number of games. He surpassed his total point tally from last season within just fifteen games this year.

Boston College has performed well in close contests during their recent home slate, outscoring opponents significantly in the final minutes of regulation and overtime periods against Syracuse and Pittsburgh.

Several players have reached individual milestones this season: Chase Forte reached his 1,000th career point during BC’s ACC opener against Georgia Tech; Donald Hand Jr. is seven points away from reaching that same mark; Aidan Shaw played his 100th career game; Caleb Steger and Marko Radunovic made their collegiate debuts earlier this year.

The Silvio O. Conte Forum court has been officially named Edgerley Family Court beginning this season as recognition for Sandra and Paul Edgerley’s contributions to Boston College.

At home, Boston College holds an eight-win record out of thirteen games on Edgerley Family Court while limiting visiting teams to an average of just over sixty-five points per game.

Numerous players have achieved personal bests throughout this campaign—ranging from career-highs in scoring to rebounding and assists—including Fred Payne’s seven-assist performance against FAU and Jayden Hastings’ six-block effort versus Clemson.

Fred Payne has scored double digits in nineteen of his last twenty-one games; Donald Hand Jr., meanwhile, has done so thirteen times in his previous fifteen appearances.

New transfers such as Boden Kapke, Chase Forte, Jason Asemota, and Aidan Shaw have combined for over seventeen hundred minutes played so far this year—with Shaw leading the team in rebounds per game.

Freshman Caleb Steger has appeared in every contest this season with one start; he is averaging over three points per game on thirty-six percent shooting from three-point range.
