Boston College Sailing finishes 14th at Open Fleet Race National Championships

Boston College Sailing finished its 2025-26 season by competing in the Open Fleet Race National Championships, held from May 19 to May 22. The Eagles placed 14th overall with a total of 321 points.

The event marked the end of the season for Boston College, highlighting their qualification after securing fourth place in the Eastern Semifinals. Team members Peter Joslin, Peter Busch, Caroline Sibilly, Brooke Bergendahl, Jack Redmond, Tanner Krygsveld, and Lanie Ferrarone represented the Eagles during the championship.

In semifinal competition, Boston College’s A Division—comprising Joslin, Busch, Sibilly, Bergendahl—finished tenth with 66 points. The B Division team of Redmond, Krygsveld, Ferrarone and Bergendahl secured third place with a score of 36 points. Their combined total of 102 points was enough to advance them to the national finals.

During the championship finals round held over four days in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, Boston College concluded their run with a final tally of 321 points for a fourteenth-place finish.

The team also participated in the NEISA Open Team Race Championships earlier this season and finished fourteenth out of eighteen teams.
