Boston College Sailing began its 2026 spring season with a win at the John Jackson Team Race hosted by Georgetown. The team finished the first day of competition undefeated with a 7-0 record and ultimately secured victory in a tiebreaking race against Georgetown, ending the regatta with a 9-1 record.

In addition to their success at Georgetown, Boston College competed at the Wood Trophy Team Race, which was relocated to Cranston, Rhode Island due to poor weather conditions. The Eagles closed out the first day with a 6-6 record and finished fourth overall after posting an 8-13 mark for the event.

The team will continue its spring campaign next weekend by participating in three regattas along the East Coast. Their schedule includes the Geiger Team Race at MIT on Saturday, March 14th, as well as appearances at the Graham Hall Team Race hosted by Navy and St. Mary’s Women’s Fleet Race at SMC of Maryland on March 13-14.

Skippers representing Boston College in the John Jackson Team Race included Peter Busch, Jack Redmond, Peter Joslin, Caroline Sibilly, and Tanner Krygsveld. Crew members were Lanie Ferrarone, Christian Yanoti, Brooke Bergendahl, Caroline Sibilly, and Sydney Lombard.

At the Wood Trophy Team Race, skippers Alex Lech, Ian Hopkins Guerra, Tor Svendsen, Ryan McGauley, and Cody Roe led Boston College’s effort alongside crew members Madeline Torrey, Paige Roby, and Emily Marlas.
