The Boston College ski team wrapped up its participation in the Dartmouth Carnival on Saturday, earning a combined total of 252 points over two days of competition in Lyme Center, New Hampshire.
On the first day, the team competed in the giant slalom. Bode Flanigan led the men’s squad with an 11th-place finish and a time of 1:57.50. Alex McNabb finished 14th, while Colin Hanna and Nick Kirwood contributed with 23rd and 29th places respectively. For the women’s team, Fiona Sawyer posted a time of 2:03.09 to secure 16th place, and Jasmine Whittaker added points by finishing 26th.
During Saturday’s slalom events, Flanigan matched his season-best performance with a fourth-place finish. Gunnar Travis achieved a career-best result by placing 17th, followed closely by Kirwood in 19th. Pedro Holscher made his season debut for Boston College and scored points with a 28th-place finish. On the women’s side, Whittaker closed out the weekend with a top-20 performance, finishing in 17th place.
The Eagles will next compete at the Vermont Carnival in Burlington, Vermont, starting Friday, February 6.
