Boston College will play against Stanford in the quarterfinals of the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) Women’s Lacrosse Championship on April 22 in Charlotte, North Carolina, according to an April 17 announcement.

The matchup is significant as Boston College enters the tournament as the No. 7 seed and faces a strong opponent in No. 2 seed Stanford at American Legion Memorial Stadium. The outcome could influence both teams’ paths toward the ACC title.

Boston College finished its regular season with a record of nine wins and six losses, including six wins in conference play. Stanford ended its campaign with thirteen wins and three losses overall, and eight wins within the conference. Boston College recently secured a notable victory over Syracuse, winning 7-4 against the fourth-ranked team to close out their regular season. This win marked their second victory over a top-five opponent this year.

Earlier this season, Boston College defeated Stanford by a score of 13-11 at Alumni Stadium, giving Stanford its first loss of the year. The Eagles have also won their last three matchups against Stanford and beat them last year in the ACC Tournament semifinals with a score of 16-9.

Looking ahead, Boston College aims for its fifth consecutive appearance in an ACC championship game and hopes to secure what would be its third title since 2023.
