Boston College women’s golf finishes sixth at City of Oaks Collegiate

The Boston College Women’s Golf team finished in sixth place at the City of Oaks Collegiate, which concluded on March 24 at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The tournament featured teams from across the region and was hosted by N.C. State. Boston College ended with a team score of 54-over par after three rounds of play.

Junior Frances Kim led the Eagles, finishing 11th overall at 10-over par. Kim maintained a position within the top fifteen throughout all three rounds and recorded five birdies during the tournament. Senior Cynthia Zhang followed closely, tying for 16th place at 14-over par and posting a final round score of 76—the best single-day performance among her teammates on the last day.

Sophomore Ana Lucia Trevino tied for 27th place with a total score of 16-over par. Freshman Joyce Zhang finished tied for 42nd at 19-over par, while graduate student Tiffany Cao rounded out Boston College’s lineup by tying for 65th place at 26-over par. Competing as an individual, sophomore Jenna Shilts tied for 62nd with a score of 24-over par.

N.C. State secured first place in the team standings with a total score of +24, followed by Rutgers (+37), Coastal Carolina (+41), East Carolina (+44), and Richmond (+50). The top individual performer was Marie Madsen from N.C. State who finished two strokes under par.

Looking ahead, Boston College will compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships scheduled to take place April 16-19 at Porters Neck Country Club in Wilmington, North Carolina.
