Boston College women’s hockey will play two Hockey East games this weekend, facing Providence on Friday and Northeastern on Sunday. Both matchups will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

The Eagles approach the weekend after splitting a road series against ranked teams. They secured a 4-3 overtime win against No. 13 Holy Cross, with Olivia Maffeo scoring twice, including the decisive goal in overtime. The team converted three power-play opportunities in that game. Jade Arnone and Lauren Glaser also contributed goals. In their following game, Boston College lost 6-2 to No. 6 UConn, with Ava Thomas and Kate Ham each scoring.

Ava Thomas was recently named Hockey East Rookie of the Month for January. She led the conference with eight assists, thirteen points, and seventy-four shots on goal over eight games. Thomas had five multi-point games during the month and recorded a six-point performance on January 16 in an 8-2 victory. She currently leads both Boston College and Hockey East in total points this season.

Boston College holds a 13-16-1 overall record and is 11-8-1 in conference play. The team has scored seventy-six goals across thirty games and averages over thirty-two shots per game. Grace Campbell has started twenty-nine games as goaltender with a .923 save percentage and two shutouts.

Northeastern enters Sunday’s matchup with a record of 23-6-1 overall and leads Hockey East at 18-1-1. The Huskies have allowed only fifty-three goals this season while scoring ninety-three times, resulting in a +40 goal differential supported by a .932 team save percentage.

Friday’s opponent Providence holds a 9-19-2 record this season, averaging under two goals per game while allowing more than three per contest.

In series history, Boston College has won seven of its last ten meetings against Providence and leads the all-time matchup at Kelley Rink. Against Northeastern, Sunday’s game will be their fourth meeting of the season; Northeastern has won all previous contests this year.
