The Boston College women’s tennis team lost 4-1 to Wake Forest on March 29 at the Wake Forest Tennis Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

This match was significant as both teams competed for conference wins in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Boston College entered with an overall record of 8-10 and was seeking its first ACC victory, while Wake Forest improved to a balanced season record.

Wake Forest took the opening doubles point by winning matches at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles positions. The Boston College pair of Tola Glowacka and Bella Camacho secured a win at No. 3 doubles with a score of 6-3, continuing their positive performance as partners.

In singles play, Natalie Eordekian earned Boston College’s only point with a straight-set victory (6-3, 6-2) at the No. 3 position against Heidi Bulger. Other Eagles players were involved in close contests: Olivia Benton won her first set in a tiebreaker at No. 1 singles before her match went unfinished; Glowacka forced a third set and held a late lead before play was halted; but Wake Forest clinched the match by securing victories at No. 2, No. 4, and No. 5 singles spots.

The final score was Wake Forest four points to Boston College’s one point.

Looking ahead, Boston College will remain on the road for its next competition against Florida State University on Friday, April 3, with play scheduled to begin at three o’clock in the afternoon.
