The Boston College women’s tennis team lost a close match to Brown University, 4-3, on Sunday at the Weymouth Club. Both teams now hold a season record of 6-2.

Boston College started strong in doubles play. The No. 1 pair, Seren Agar and Natalie Eordekian, secured a 6-4 win. Olivia Benton and Leyden Games followed with a 7-5 victory at No. 2 doubles, clinching the point for the Eagles. At No. 3 doubles, Tola Glowacka and Bella Camacho also won their match in a tiebreaker.

In singles competition, Olivia Benton defeated Hannah Shen at the top spot with scores of 7-5, 6-2. Natalie Eordekian added another point for Boston College by beating Abigail Lee, 7-6, 6-3.

Brown responded by winning four singles matches. The contests at No. 2 and No. 6 singles were especially competitive, both decided by third-set tiebreakers. Ali Maguy overcame Seren Agar with scores of 2-6, 6-2, 7-6 at No. 2 singles. Sari Woo edged out Nadia Barteck at No. 6 singles with a scoreline of 6-7, 7-5, 7-6 to secure the overall win for Brown.

The Eagles will travel to North Carolina to face Duke on Friday, February 20.
