The Boston College women’s tennis team lost a close match, 4-3, against Florida State on April 3. The contest was held in Tallahassee and featured both teams seeking their first Atlantic Coast Conference win of the season.

This result matters for both programs as they continue to compete in conference play, with each looking to improve their records and build momentum for the remainder of the season.

Boston College began strongly by securing the doubles point. Tola Glowacka and Bella Camacho won at No. 2 doubles with a score of 6-1, while Leyden Games and Natalie Eordekian earned a victory at No. 3 doubles, finishing 6-3. In singles competition, Seren Agar claimed a straight-set win over M.B. Deatherage (7-6 [7-4], 6-1) at No. 2 singles, and Camacho added another point for Boston College with a decisive win at No. 6 singles (6-1, 6-2).

Florida State responded by winning four singles matches on courts one, three, four, and five. The match was ultimately decided on court five when Cade Cricchio defeated Nadia Barteck in three sets (7-6 [7-4], 1-6, 6-3), clinching the overall victory for Florida State.

The final score was Florida State four points to Boston College’s three points.

Looking ahead, Boston College will continue its road trip with an upcoming match against Miami scheduled for Sunday at eleven o’clock in the morning.
