The Boston University men’s lacrosse team has been ranked first in the 2026 New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) preseason poll, according to an announcement made on Monday.

Although BU received only one first-place vote, the team accumulated enough points to secure the top position. Harvard, which earned five first-place votes, finished second in the poll. Dartmouth and Yale tied for third place. BU is scheduled to play against all three teams during the upcoming season, with two of those matchups occurring within the next two weeks. The Terriers will host Dartmouth at Nickerson Field on Sunday and then travel to Yale on February 21.

In addition to their regional ranking, BU continues to appear in national polls this week. The team is ranked No. 19 in the USILA coaches poll and No. 20 in the Inside Lacrosse media poll.
