Boston University softball players Kasey Ricard, Kyie Doherty, and Irys Kline received all three Patriot League weekly honors on March 16 after helping their team win six consecutive games, according to an announcement from the conference office.

The recognition highlights the team’s strong performance over the week, with each player making significant contributions in both pitching and batting. The Terriers secured two victories each against Brown, Quinnipiac, and UMass Lowell, outscoring their opponents by a combined total of 61-4.

Ricard, a senior pitcher from Littleton, Massachusetts, was named Pitcher of the Week for the third time this season. She tied a Patriot League record with her 16th career Pitcher of the Week award. Ricard posted a 4-0 record with one save and did not allow an earned run over 24 innings while striking out 25 batters. She is now tied with Lehigh’s Lisa Sweeney for the all-time record in this category.

Doherty, a junior outfielder from Bolton, Massachusetts, was named Player of the Week for her second time this season and third overall. She hit home runs against both Brown and UMass Lowell to bring her season total to ten and career mark to thirty—just two shy of tying Boston University’s program record. Doherty batted .563 for the week with eleven runs batted in (RBIs), eleven runs scored, five walks, and a .667 on-base percentage.

Kline earned her second Rookie of the Week honor by batting .500 with six walks for a .684 on-base percentage. The freshman outfielder from Camp Hill, Pennsylvania went six-for-twelve at bat with five RBIs and four runs scored during the week.

Looking ahead, Boston University will conclude its eight-game homestand by hosting Stonehill in a doubleheader scheduled for Wednesday starting at 2 p.m.
