The Boston University softball team, currently on a 13-game winning streak, will open its Patriot League schedule against Lafayette with a doubleheader on Saturday and a third game on Sunday, both starting at noon, according to a March 20 announcement. The games will be held at the Lafayette Softball Field in Easton, Pennsylvania.

This series marks the start of conference play for both teams. Boston University enters with a record of 20-10, while Lafayette stands at 7-19. The Terriers have shown strong performance nationally, ranking in the top 100 in 21 statistical categories. Offensively, they are ranked 22nd in hits earned (264), 45th in batting average (.329), and 48th in scoring (6.7 runs per game). Their pitching staff has recorded eight shutouts—11th most nationally—and holds the No. 32 best strikeout-to-walk ratio at 2.33 per game.
