Boston University women’s basketball will conclude its 2025-26 regular season with a home game against Holy Cross on Wednesday, March 4, at Case Gym. The matchup is part of the Turnpike Trophy series and is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.

BU enters the final day of the regular season with a record of 10-18 overall and 6-11 in Patriot League play. The Terriers are tied for seventh place in the league standings with Lafayette. If BU wins and both Lafayette and Bucknell lose, BU would secure the No. 6 seed and a first-round bye in the upcoming Patriot League Tournament. Otherwise, BU will host a first-round game as either the No. 7 or No. 8 seed.

Holy Cross comes into the contest with a record of 19-9 overall and 13-4 in conference play, tied for second place alongside Army West Point. The Crusaders need either a win or an Army loss to clinch the No. 2 seed for postseason play. Holy Cross has won five consecutive games entering this week.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN+ with Brian Maurer (COM’07), Reed Keller, and Caitlin Beal providing commentary. Additional live statistics and an audio-only stream are available on GoTerriers.com, while international viewers can access coverage through the Patriot League’s streaming service.

In their most recent outing, BU earned a 79-76 overtime victory over American on Senior Day at Case Gym on February 28. During that game, senior Anete Adler recorded career numbers with 33 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists, and five blocks—a performance recognized when she was named Patriot League Player of the Week on Monday, March 2.

“Becoming the first Division I player, men’s or women’s, this century to record that stat line,” according to team officials.

Adler currently averages 16.4 points per conference game—third-best in the league—while classmate Anastasiia Semenova leads BU in field goal percentage at .498 after notching a double-double against American (12 points and ten rebounds). Junior Inés Monteagudo Pardo hit crucial three-pointers late in regulation and overtime; she now leads all Patriot League players with a .431 three-point shooting percentage.

Sophomores Rose Azmoudeh (eighth) and Hildur Gunnsteinsdóttir (tenth) also rank among the top ten in conference three-point accuracy this season.

For Holy Cross, Meg Cahalan leads her team offensively with an average of 15.1 points per game—fifth-highest in conference rankings—while Kaitlyn Flanagan is tied for first in assists across all teams during league play.

The two programs meet for their forty-third time on Wednesday; Holy Cross holds a historical advantage of twenty-six wins to sixteen but under fifth-year head coach Melissa Graves BU has not lost a regular-season home contest to Holy Cross so far.

Earlier this season on February 2nd these teams met when Holy Cross secured a sixty-to-forty-six victory after BU narrowed what had been a twenty-one point deficit down to two possessions before ultimately falling short due to low shooting percentages during critical moments of that matchup.

Following Wednesday’s game Boston University will wait to learn its seeding position between sixth through eighth ahead of next week’s Patriot League Tournament which begins Saturday March seventh with quarterfinals scheduled for Monday March ninth.
