Boston University’s women’s basketball team will travel to Bucknell on Saturday, February 14, for its final road trip of the regular season. The game is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.

The Terriers, holding a 7-17 overall record and 3-10 in Patriot League play, are seeking their first road win since January 21. The team has dropped its last five games, with four losses coming against teams ranked in the top five of the conference standings.

Bucknell enters the matchup at 9-15 overall and 5-8 in league action. The Bison have won three of their last four games and currently sit sixth in the Patriot League, two games behind Loyola Maryland and one ahead of American and Lafayette.

Saturday’s contest will be broadcast live on ESPN+. Fans can also access live statistics and an audio-only stream through Bucknell’s website, while the Patriot League offers an international streaming option.

Reflecting on recent performances, Boston University lost to Army West Point 69-62 on Wednesday at Case Gym. Despite shooting over 51 percent from the field and nearly 53 percent from beyond the arc, BU was unable to take a lead during the game. Junior Inés Monteagudo Pardo tied her career high by making five three-pointers for a total of 15 points. Senior Anastasiia Semenova and junior Bella McLaughlin each scored 14 points; McLaughlin also recorded seven assists.

Throughout this season, BU has used 11 different starting lineups across its 24 games. Monteagudo is currently hitting 40.4 percent of her three-point attempts (94 tries), which places her third among Patriot League players this season. Since 2009, only three other Terriers—Chantell Alford (2010-11 and 2012-13), Sydney Johnson (2022-23), and Alex Giannaros (2023-24)—have surpassed a .400 mark from deep with at least 100 shots taken.

Looking at upcoming challenges, BU’s remaining five regular-season opponents collectively have a .446 winning percentage in conference play. Of those teams, only Lehigh (February 21) and Holy Cross (March 4) have records above .500.

Bucknell started conference play with five straight losses but has gone 5-3 over its last eight games. Before losing to first-place Navy on February 11—after falling behind by a score of 20-0—the Bison were riding a three-game winning streak. During Patriot League competition, Bucknell is among four teams allowing fewer than 57 points per game and ranks third in opponent field goal percentage (.380). Tuana Coskun has averaged 14.4 points per league contest during this stretch, placing her tenth among all players.

This weekend’s game marks the twenty-fourth meeting between Boston University and Bucknell. The Bison lead the series with sixteen wins to BU’s seven and have claimed victory in the past five encounters. On Bucknell’s home court, BU holds a record of three wins against eight losses. In their most recent matchup on January 31 in Boston, Bucknell defeated BU as Coskun scored twenty-six points; Boston committed eighteen turnovers.

Following Saturday’s contest at Bucknell, Boston University will conclude its regular-season road schedule against Colgate on Wednesday, February 18 at 6 p.m.
