Boston College lacrosse players Giulia Colarusso and Shea Dolce were recognized by the Atlantic Coast Conference on Mar. 31 for their performances in a recent win over Stanford, with Colarusso earning co-offensive honors and Dolce receiving defensive recognition.

The awards mark the first weekly honor of the season for Boston College, with Colarusso collecting her first career weekly award and Dolce securing her fourth. The recognition follows a 13-11 victory over Stanford in which both athletes played key roles.

Colarusso tied a team best with four points, recording three goals and an assist, along with a game-high seven draw controls that matched her personal record. She contributed to crucial moments in the game, scoring and assisting on consecutive plays during the fourth quarter that helped Boston College build an 11-9 lead. Colarusso also collected two important draw controls late in the contest as Stanford narrowed the gap. She is currently tied for the team lead with 28 goals this season.

Dolce finished with 11 saves, including eight in the second half against Stanford, posting a .500 save percentage and collecting three ground balls. Her performance included a pivotal save late in the fourth quarter to preserve Boston College’s advantage. It was her fourth game this season reaching double-digit saves; she leads all active players in the Atlantic Coast Conference with 604 career saves.

Both athletes also contributed significantly to Boston College’s earlier win over UAlbany, where Colarusso scored five points and Dolce surpassed 600 career saves after making nine stops.

Looking ahead, Colarusso, Dolce, and their teammates are set to play against No. 15 Loyola Maryland on Saturday at 3 p.m.
