The Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Apr. 23 that eight Boston College Eagles fencing athletes have been selected for the 2026 Men’s and Women’s Fencing All-Academic teams. Four athletes from each of the men’s and women’s squads received this recognition.
The All-ACC Academic honor is awarded to student-athletes who achieve at least a 3.0 grade-point average for the fall semester as well as a cumulative average of 3.0 or higher throughout their academic careers. In addition, honorees must have competed in either the ACC Fencing Championships or the NCAA Fencing Championships.
On the men’s side, all four recognized athletes earned a grade point average of 3.4 or above, with Daniel Gao achieving the highest GPA among his teammates during the fall semester. The other honorees are Thomas Huang, Elijah Onik, and Ryan Wong.
For the women’s team, three out of four honorees also posted GPAs of at least 3.4 in the fall term, with Rachel Buhay leading her group academically for that period. The additional recipients are Ginevra Giordano, Junyao Lu, and Taylor Sartori.
The full list of both ACC All-Academic teams can be found on the conference’s official website.
These selections highlight both athletic participation at high levels and strong academic performance by Boston College fencing athletes.
