Harvard Men’s Basketball senior guard Chandler PiggĂ©, junior guard Xavier Nesbitt, and sophomore guards Ben Eisendrath and Robert Hinton were named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District team on Mar. 24.

The recognition places Harvard among six Division I schools with a nation-leading four selections in men’s basketball, alongside Buffalo, Lipscomb, North Florida, UC Davis, and Yale. The award highlights student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically.

Piggé was previously named Second Team All-Ivy and Academic All-Ivy. He averaged 12.9 points per game this season along with 5.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 1.7 steals while shooting over 46 percent from the field. He ranked in the top ranks of the Ivy League for steals per game (third), minutes per game (third), assists per game (sixth), points per game (14th), and rebounds per game (14th). As a team captain, he scored double figures in 19 games.

Nesbitt played in all of Harvard’s Ivy League games this season—one of six Crimson players to do so—and has appeared in a total of 64 career games for Harvard. Eisendrath earned Ivy Madness All-Tournament Team honors after averaging more than five points and three assists per contest while leading the team in free throw percentage both overall (89.7%) and during conference play (95.8%).

Hinton was recognized as a unanimous First Team All-Ivy selection as well as First Team NABC All-District honoree this past season after scoring an average of 16.8 points with nearly five rebounds each outing; he also led the Ivy League in field goals made.

To qualify for Academic All-District honors from CSC, student-athletes must be at least sophomores academically and athletically with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 while participating extensively during their team’s season.

The Crimson finished their campaign with a record of 17-12 overall and placed second in the Ivy League standings—their best finish since the pandemic-shortened seasons—with strong performances including leading their conference in scoring defense.
