Harvard Women’s Swimming and Diving announced on Apr. 7 that Alexandra Bastone, Nina Janmyr, Sydney Lu, and Anya Mostek have been selected for the 2025-26 Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Communicators. The award recognizes student-athletes who excel both in athletic competition and academics.

The recognition highlights the balance between sports performance and academic achievement among college athletes. It is considered a significant honor within collegiate athletics.

Janmyr ends her career as a three-time recipient of this award, while Mostek is recognized for the second time. Bastone, currently a junior, has now earned her second selection as well. Lu concludes her collegiate swimming career with her first appearance on the list.

Eligibility for this distinction requires student-athletes to be at least sophomores with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50. They must also compete in at least 75 percent of their team’s competitions or achieve top-eight finishes at their conference meet or participate in the NCAA Championships.

All four Harvard athletes are now eligible for consideration on the CSC Academic All-America ballot after competing at the NCAA meet. The announcement of first-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America selections is scheduled for April 28.
