Hagens and Letourneau receive honors from New England Hockey Writers

Boston College sophomores James Hagens and Dean Letourneau were recognized by the New England Hockey Writers on Apr. 7.

The recognition highlights the achievements of two key players for Boston College during the hockey season, underscoring their impact on both their team and regional collegiate hockey.

Hagens was named a New England All-Star and received the Herb Gallagher Best Forward award. He led both Boston College and Hockey East in scoring, tallying 47 points with 23 goals and 24 assists. The Hauppauge, New York native was also selected as a Hobey Baker Top 10 Finalist after the regular season ended, in addition to earning Hockey East First Team All-Star honors.

Letourneau was awarded the Paul Hines Most Improved Player Award. He finished second in Hockey East for both points (39) and goals (22). Letourneau also secured a spot on the Hockey East Third Team All-Star list after recording 12 goals and 10 assists during league play.

These recognitions reflect not only individual accomplishments but also signal strong contributions to Boston College’s overall performance throughout the season.
