Harvard University’s women’s field hockey team has announced its 2026 spring schedule, following a successful 2025 season in which the Crimson won the Ivy League regular season title and set a new program record for wins.
The team will play six games over three Saturdays in April. On April 11, Harvard will host New Hampshire and Syracuse at Berylson Field. New Hampshire, the defending America East tournament champions, finished last season with a 12-7 record and went 4-1 in conference play. The two teams last met in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Tournament, where Harvard achieved an 8-2 victory—its largest margin of victory in NCAA Tournament history.
Syracuse concluded its previous campaign with a 13-7 record and reached the NCAA Tournament Quarterfinals for the first time since 2023. The Orange were also Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament Semifinalists last year. Harvard’s most recent matchup against Syracuse was in the first round of the 2024 NCAA Tournament, where junior forward Lara Beekhuis scored an overtime goal to secure the win.
On April 18, Harvard will travel to Amherst to face UMass and Yale. UMass was an NCAA Tournament Semifinalist in 2024 and ended last season with a 16-4 record after reaching the championship round of the MAC Tournament. In their final regular-season game of 2025, Harvard defeated Yale by a score of 2-1.
The spring schedule concludes on April 25 when Harvard hosts Boston University and Brown at Berylson Field. Boston University finished last season with an 8-11 record but qualified for the NCAA Tournament by winning the Patriot League Tournament Championship against Lafayette. In their non-conference meeting last year, five different Crimson players scored during a decisive 7-0 win over Boston University. Harvard also defeated Brown twice at home during that period.
Harvard wrapped up its previous season with a school-record-setting performance: a final tally of 19 wins and only two losses, including advancement to the semifinals of the NCAA Tournament and completing an undefeated regular season within Ivy League competition.
