Harvard Football has released its schedule for the 2026 season, which will include 10 regular season games. Four of these games are set to be played at Harvard Stadium, while the annual rivalry game against Yale, known as The Game, will take place at Fenway Park in Boston.
The team begins its season on September 19 with an away game against New Hampshire. Harvard holds an 8-0 record against New Hampshire and last faced them in 2024, securing a win at home. This upcoming match marks Harvard’s first trip to Durham, New Hampshire since the series began in 1929.
The Crimson’s Ivy League opener is scheduled for September 26 on the road against Brown. Since 2000, Harvard has won 22 out of their last 25 meetings with Brown.
On October 3, Harvard will host Colgate for its home opener. The two teams have met nine times previously, with Harvard leading the series five wins to four. Their last meeting was in 1999.
The team returns to Ivy League play on October 10 with a visit to Cornell in Ithaca, New York. Harvard has won the past six games against Cornell.
Non-league play concludes on October 17 when Holy Cross visits Cambridge. Harvard has claimed victory in three consecutive games and six of the last seven matchups between these teams.
The second half of the schedule consists entirely of Ivy League contests. On October 24, Princeton comes to Cambridge; Harvard has won their last two encounters. The following week, on October 31, the Crimson travel to Dartmouth where they have also won four straight meetings.
Harvard’s final home game is set for November 7 against Columbia; the Crimson are currently on a three-game winning streak in this series.
On November 14, Harvard travels to Penn after three closely contested games between these teams over recent years. In each of those seasons—2023 through 2025—Harvard secured or shared the Ivy League title with dramatic victories over Penn.
The regular season concludes on November 21 at Fenway Park with The Game versus Yale. This will be their first meeting at Fenway since 2018.
For a second consecutive year, the Ivy League champion will advance to the FCS Playoffs after a previous season where two conference teams qualified for postseason play. The playoff rounds begin November 28 and continue into January with the championship game scheduled for January 4 in Nashville, Tennessee.
