Harvard Men’s Swimming and Diving completed its participation in the NCAA Championships on Mar. 28, as Adriano Arioti competed in the preliminaries of the 200 backstroke event.
The meet was significant for Harvard, marking its first appearance in the final team standings since 2022. The team’s return to scoring at nationals highlights progress for the program.
Arioti, a sophomore from Maryland, finished his race with a time of 1:40.55 and placed 29th overall. He did not advance to Saturday night’s finals. This was Arioti’s second event at the championships after he swam in the 100 backstroke on Friday.
Overall, Harvard secured a total of nine points during the championships and finished in 39th place among competing teams.
The conclusion of this year’s NCAA Championships closes out another season for Harvard Men’s Swimming and Diving as they look ahead to future competitions.
