Harvard men’s tennis will begin its Ivy League season at home with matches against No. 33 Princeton on April 4 and No. 40 Penn on April 5, the team announced on April 2.
The opening of conference play marks a significant step for the Crimson, who are aiming to build on their history of success in the league. The matches will be two of four home contests in this year’s Ivy League schedule, offering Harvard a chance to leverage home-court advantage after being on the road since March 1.
Harvard concluded non-conference play with a narrow loss to No. 74 South Florida, finishing that portion of the season with a record of 10-9. Last year, Harvard tied for second in the Ivy League at 5-2 and previously won three consecutive conference titles from 2022 through 2024. In total, Harvard has claimed 33 Ivy League Championships.
First-year player Nathan Blokhin leads Harvard in singles wins this season with an overall record of 19-7 and an impressive dual match mark of 11-3 while primarily competing at the No.3 spot. Blokhin and Benjamin Privara have also achieved eight doubles wins together and are ranked No.77 in ITA Division I Men’s Doubles rankings.
Junior Rohan Murali has moved into the top singles position for Harvard during his breakout season, amassing seventeen wins so far and ranking No.103 nationally in singles competition. Murali is also a strong doubles contributor with nineteen total wins this year; he pairs with Kolos Kincses for a nearly perfect dual record at thirteen wins and two losses.
Historically, Harvard leads both series: they hold a sixty-three to forty-seven advantage over Princeton—winning nine out of their last ten meetings—and lead Penn eighty-six to fourteen all-time despite falling earlier this year by one point.
Looking ahead, Harvard will travel to face Brown on April 10 before returning home against Yale on April 12.
