Harvard Men’s Volleyball will conclude its regular-season travel schedule with two conference matches against George Mason University on April 3 and April 4. The games are set for Friday at 6:00 PM ET and Saturday at 2:00 PM ET, both available for streaming on ESPN+.
These matchups are significant as they mark the last away contests before Harvard returns home for the remainder of the season. The team is looking to build momentum after splitting a recent conference weekend, losing in four sets to Sacred Heart before securing a four-set win over the Pioneers.
During last weekend’s games, Sawyer Nichols achieved a career-high with 16 kills on Friday and added another 11 kills on Saturday, totaling 16 digs across both matches. Zach Berty recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 12 digs on Friday, then followed up with strong performances including two service aces and a solo block in Saturday’s match. Owen Woolbert contributed significantly with 20 kills and nine total blocks over the weekend, highlighted by an impressive .625 hitting percentage during Friday’s contest. Libero Thomas Phung also made notable contributions defensively, tallying eight digs on Friday and reaching a season-high of ten digs on Saturday.
George Mason enters this series riding a six-match winning streak after recent victories over Saint Francis. In their previous meeting this season, George Mason narrowly defeated Harvard in five sets before Harvard responded by sweeping them in straight sets later that day. Historically, Harvard trails George Mason in their all-time series record at sixteen wins to twenty-four losses.
Following these road games, Harvard will have a bye week before hosting Princeton for its final regular-season and conference matches of the year scheduled for April 17 and April 18.
