Harvard Women’s Heavyweight Rowing won three races on April 4 at the Ohio State Regatta held on Griggs Reservoir in Columbus, Ohio. The team, ranked No. 13, posted victories in the Second Varsity Eight, Varsity Four, and Second Varsity Four events while also securing a close second-place finish in the Varsity Eight.
The results highlight a strong performance for Harvard-Radcliffe as they approach key competitions later this season. Improved weather conditions contributed to competitive racing across all boats.
In the opening race of the day, Harvard’s Varsity Eight finished just four seconds behind Indiana in a tightly contested effort. The Second Varsity Eight secured a win by more than four seconds over Indiana. The Varsity Four then delivered a dominant showing with a margin of victory exceeding 15 seconds against Indiana. In the Second Varsity Four event, Harvard-Radcliffe continued its success with an impressive 17-second lead over their opponent.
The Third Varsity Eight capped off racing for Harvard-Radcliffe by finishing less than one second behind No. 20 Ohio State in a close field that also included North Carolina and Indiana University.
According to official results provided by the team, lineup details were shared for each boat including coxswains and rowers who contributed to each race outcome.
Looking ahead, Harvard-Radcliffe is scheduled to compete next at the Ivy Invitational in Princeton, New Jersey on Saturday, April 11.
